On May 29th internationally, SIGNAL REX is proud to present Finnish Ecuador Alliance, a special split 7" EP between DARK DIVINATION and WAMPYRIC RITES.
Fresh from their SIGNAL REX debut album, Liito hengen ja veren, released late last year by SIGNAL REX, DARK DIVINATION return to raise the banner of paradigmatic mid-2000s Finnish black metal. "Tainted by Hatred" is their exclusive track here, which begins with a haunting spectral trudge before coalescing into a torrent of classic Finnish filth, only to gnawingly return to that trudge in earnest by song's end. WAMPYRIC RITES mainman Wampyric Strigoi is no stranger to SIGNAL REX, across his myriad projects, and he sheds black imperial blood for the label once again with his likewise-exclusive track here. Titled "Evil Spirit of Varcolaci," it's as a characteristic(ally powerful) as any WAMPYRIC RITES track around, with a mystical synth-abetted main hook that's literally to die for. Truly titled, Finnish Ecuador Alliance proves that foul deeds unite the North and South.
